Perfect after dinner dessert spot! The chocolate in the stracciatella gelato was so delicious. The marshmallows were QUITE good. The place is actually massive but feels quite empty, not a great use of the space. But great for big groups. Also there are products on a kiosk at the front if you don’t want baked goods but want some delicious off the shelf goodies.

For lovers of chocolate Ratio Cocoa Roasters cafe and shop is a must to visit! Located on Sydney Road in Brunswick it’s overall pretty easy to reach by tram or car! Apart from the amazing selection of chocolate gifts and the option to dine in, make sure you book the complete tour to learn all about chocolate and how it’s made! I joined a few friends and it was great fun! The hot chocolate tastes beautiful, rich and creamy!! Enjoy the visit!!

Really nice, original place to go for a sweet pick me up - smelled DIVINE of cocoa beans as soon as you walked in. Open til late (10pm) we got the brownie and chocolate taster boards to share between two. The brownies were far more enjoyable than the chocolates, but it was cool to feel like chocolate connoisseurs for about 10 minutes - the range in flavours was crazy! A cool, unique way to get your sweet treat fix.

Delicious ice cream. Probably the best vegan ice cream I've ever had. Also lovely for people with allergies. The very kind worker last night let me look at the allergens information while I was choosing my ice cream and it made me feel very safe. Also, goes without saying: the chocolate is delicious.

We brought a large group for a tour yesterday and had a wonderful time. Debb and her team couldn't be more helpful from the initial booking to our actual visit. We learnt so much about the chocolate making process, the passion is clearly evident and the proof is in the excellent quality products. Thankyou and we look forward to visiting again!

If you are a fan of all things cacao, this is a must-visit. The beans are roasted in-house. I did not join the tour, but it appeared to me that they do the sorting by hand (as all good boutique roasters do). The brownies were delicious, and so was the hot chocolate. Ethical sourcing, single origins, great flavour profiles, products that incorporated local elements (eg, Axil Coffee), seasonal items... comprehensive process of bean to bar.

I’m usually not into chocolate drinks—it tends to be too sweet for my taste. But the iced chocolate I tried yesterday was a game-changer! While it lacked that typical silkiness, it masterfully balanced the chocolate and milk, capturing the perfect level of sweetness that just beckons you to take another sip…and another. It’s addictive! The glass was layered with chocolate sauce and even the ice cream in the middle was just standard supermarket vanilla, but the texture on the palate was like a frosty, chunky blend of ice cream and chocolate—a surprisingly delightful mix.The top was sprinkled with their homemade chocolate shavings, adding a nice crunch with a subtly bitter, not-too-sweet finish. A must-try!

It’s a different experience for me. we’re usually limited to the perfect chocolate range, but this cafe has a broad spectrum of selection of cocoa. 88% from Ecuador was their darkest and it was fermented - 3.5/5 peanut butter hot chocolate was subtle - 4/5 B2B Brownie - 3.5/5 experience - 5/5
